This version was planned to be version 0.2.3 but because of many changes an new things we decided to make this one version 0.3.0. So please note that this is not a version with KeePass 2.0 support.

0.2.2 Leopard Hotfix
Many people reported that the current version of KeePassX (0.2.2) crashes on the new version of MacOS X 10.5 alias Leopard. This problem is now fixed and you can find a updated build for Leopard in our download section.

This hotfix does have a minor visual side effect: Some buttons are displayed as tool buttons even though they are dialog buttons. This is just a problem of 0.2.2. Version 0.2.3 will show the correct buttons and remove some other GUI issues on MacOS X as well.
Additionally to the MacOS X 10.5 support a fix for a very annoying bug in 0.2.2 was backported from the 0.2.3 branch:
Files which do not have an extension get no longer greyed-out in the file dialog and the correct extension (.kdb) gets now automatically appended to the filenames of new databases.

Added an universal binary bundle, the first file was x86 only even though the link title said otherwise.
UPDATE II:
The downloads are not longer available. Please use the new versions of KeePassX instead, which are now fully Leopard compatible.
…still alive
The last release of KeePassX was over one year ago so I think it’s time to show that the project is still alive. So I want to give you some information about the future plans for KeePassX as well as a preview of the upcoming release 0.2.3.
The main changes in 0.2.3 will be the following:

The listed things are already done, but they still need some testing and there are also many bugs which need to be fixed as well as some features which are going to be part of this release. Therefore the planned release date is August or September 2007 November or December 2007 (sorry, I’m just busy).

After 0.2.3 is released the work on the 0.3 branch will begin.
The main goal of version 0.3.0 is the implementation of KeePass 2 support. The targeted release date is October 2007.
It is possible that there will be other releases of the 0.2.x branch even after 0.3.0 depending on how well 0.3.0 performs.

Serverumzug
Aufgrund mehrerer Serverprobleme und häufiger Unereichbarkeit des BerliOS-Servers haben wir beschlossen umzuziehen. Die neue Adresse lautet http://keepassx.sourceforge.net.
Im Screenshotsbereich wurden einige Bilder von KeePassX unter Windows hinzugefügt. Damit soll KeePassX sicherlich nicht KeePass Password Safe ersetzen, sondern es soll nur seine Plattformunabhängigkeit aufgezeigt werden.
AutoType Funktion implementiert
Die für viele KeePassX-Benutzer lang ersehnte AutoType Funktion ist ab sofort in der neuen Version 0.2.1, die zum Download bereitsteht, verfügbar. Wie in der Changelog beschrieben, befindet sich dieses Feature noch in der experimentellen Phase. Bugs bzw. Fehlermeldungen sollten am besten über das entsprechende Formular und nicht unbedingt nur im Forum bekannt gemacht werden.
Homepage Update
Heute bekommt KeePassX ein neues Gesicht. Die Homepage ist im Moment in zwei Sprachen verfügbar und sollte somit die größte Masse der KeePassX-Benutzer erreichen können.
Bereiche wie FAQs und Anleitungen werden mit der Zeit weiter vervollständigt.
Nicht zu übersehen ist natürlich das “noch” fehlende KeePassX Logo. Da KeePassX ein OpenSource Projekt ist, möchten wir allen Usern (auch denen, die nicht programmieren können) die Gelegenheit geben, sich daran zu beteiligen. Sendet eure Vorschläge an uns oder präsentiert diese im Forum.
Zum Schluss noch eine kleine Bitte. Sollten jemandem Fehler oder Verbesserungsvorschläge auf- bzw. einfallen, bitten wir um eine kurze Mitteilung.
Version 0.2.0 veröffentlicht
Version 0.2.0 steht ab sofor zum Download bereit.
Neben jenen für Linux sind nun auch Binaries für Mac OS X verfügbar.
Neuer Programmname
Die Abstimmung im Forum zur Änderung des Programmnamens ist abgeschlossen.
Die Idee hinter der Abstimmung war es einen neuen, passenderen Namen zu finden, dabei jedoch den Bezug zu KeePass Password Safe nicht zu verlieren. Der alte Name Keepass/L für Linux war seit Anfang der Entwickung des Programms in Richtung stärkerer Plattformunabhängigkeit nicht mehr passend.
Es gab einige interessante Vorschläge, von denen KeePassX (wobei X die Plattformunabhängigkeit kennzeichnet) als Gewinner ermittelt wurde.

Die neue Version 0.1.3 steht als Quelltext-, RPM- und Debian-paket zum Download bereit.
