Keepassx is a great way to keep up with all your passwords. I use two databases, one for private passwords and one for work. Being a utility SCADA admin requires me to have and remember numerous passwords. I use Keepassx in both Windoz and Linux. Of course, I prefer Linux doesn’t everyone and the auto-type feature.

I use Dropbox (another free application) to store the encrypted databases out in the cloud and they are synced automatically whenever I make any changes.

Keepassx is great I wonder how I ever got by without it.

Find drag and drop to be buggy does strange things
also had it crash a number of times after running sort after drag dropping

But apart from that this rocks, can use it in linux and then when i reboot into windoze

keep up the great work

Hi Guys,

I’ve recently upgraded to Lion. Since the OS upgrade the KeePassX window no longer comes up. The program is running, but there is no way I can actually bring the window to the foreground, it’s as if the OS is not registering that it exists. When I try show all windows, no window appears. Is anyone else experiencing problems under Lion?

I used the install from the website if that helps.

Before using Keepassx, I had used many password creator softwares; but those were not so secured and user-friendly as Keepassx. Thanks to all the people behind it. I have recommended this to many people who depend on many passwords.

Hi. I started testing this not too long ago and today I just noticed that sorting doesn’t work on 0.4.3. I have been using it under Ubuntu and now the Zorin distro which is based on Ubuntu/Debian. I just thought I let you know because I keep thinking I didn’t back things up when I can’t find the one I’m looking for and then realized that sorting didn’t work so I had to manually go down the list.

I googled autotype and found this.
KeePassX_0.4.3_OS_X_AutoType_svn

but auto type works on snow leopard but not on lion …To bad hope a fix will come.

Have you tried the 0.4.3 with Lion? My keepass 0.4.3 works just fine on Lion.

I see the description for download of 0.4.3 i.e. that it is for mac osx 10/4-6. I have 10.7 (Lion). Where do I get a download so I can keep using keepassx which I have used with leopard and snow leopard, and want to continue. Thanks

Great application. I’ve been using it for a few years. Its better than original KeePass – as it uses only true open source tools and is truly cross platform!

Are you working on version 2.0? I’m sure many many users are hoping for an update. Thank you for your good work and I hope my message, and those of others, will encourage you to keep working on the project.
