Fantastic kind of app! Many, many thanks to you! Is there any Symbian based app which can import the kdb database file? Any mobile solution?

    http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/security:/passwordmanagement/openSUSE_11.0/

I’d love to get it to use KeePass’s database and key file, but I can’t even get it to go to my thumb drive where the database and keyfile is.

I use both Linux and Vista. I want to be able to have one database, one keyfile, to use on both.

What are the chances that the static build *-bin.tar.gz might be made available for > 0.3.1 ? We use this app on various different linux versions, some of which contain quite old QT, and the static builds were really handy there.

    Thanks a lot!

Would LOVE the autotype feature for Mac OS X. The only thing I miss from the Windows version.

  18. Pablo - 2008-10-02

I’d like to be able to disable the autotype, I have had some passwords searched on google because of hitting ^v instead of ^c when coming from Firefox. Thanks!!

Is there any linux pre compiled version without installer like the old “KeePassX-0.3.1-bin.tar.gz” for those like me that don’t have permission to install .deb or .rpm packages ???
    If yes, where? (full path)

    Thank you!

I started using KeePass on the windows platform and found I couldn’t live without it. Especially with it loaded on a usb thumbdrive as a take along “key” for my online apps on any computer. Now that I’ve migrated to Linux, I’m so glad I can use it here as well. This is the greatest password manager ever!

I use Keepass 2.05 and “pull” my KDBX file from a web site.
How can I configure (is it possible?) the Linux version do open the file from an ftp:// address?

  24. geronimo - 2008-10-30

Am I the only one having problem with this port on Mac OS 10.5/Leo? KeePass simply can’t open my prev. generated password database. I’m just getting ‘Hash test failed’ message. And believe me, I tried it now in slow motion to make sure that my master password is correct, key lock disabled etc etc.
    What’s going on here?

  25. geronimo - 2008-10-30

Ok, forget about version 0.3.3 when on MacOS/Leopard 10.5.5. It is broken. If daunting, use 0.3.2, this version appears to work.

  26. MrKahuna - 2008-10-31

KeePassX 0.3.3 is working fine here on MacOS/Leopard 10.5.5.

[...] After upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10, KeePassX 0.2.2 has been replaced by KeePassX 0.3.3. [...]

  28. Tanis - 2008-11-03

I have this problem on my clean Ubuntu 8.10 installation (without any additional repositories) :-( Always when there is a @-symbol in the username, keepassx 0.3.3 quits!

See here for more details: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keepassx/+bug/286617.

  29. Brian - 2009-01-14

I having that “Hash test failed” problem too after migrating from Windows with Keepass to Ubuntu 8.10 with KeepassX 0.3.4
