Try to redownload the file and verify the hash again.

I downloaded KeePassX-0.3.4.dmg for my mac today. I tried to verify the SHA1 hash as follows:

/usr/bin/openssl sha1 KeePassX-0.3.4.dmg
SHA1(KeePassX-0.3.4.dmg)= 0891ba7902876af59059a9d5b717d84f6e19addd

As you can see, the returned hashsum is completely different to the one listed above. Is the one listed above definitely correct?

It would be nice to have signatures and hashes available for all the downloadable files, even the old ones. This is security software afterall.

sha1sum ist OK
