KeePassX

Hashsums SHA1

If you want to check if the offered files are verified by the KeePassX authors (i.e. official and original files), you can hash the downloaded file using the hash computation utility of your choice and see if the SHA-1 hashes match.

    Hi,

    the md5sum of KeePassX-0.3.2-win32.zip is not the one listed here.

    sha1sum ist OK

    It would be nice to have signatures and hashes available for all the downloadable files, even the old ones. This is security software afterall.

    I downloaded KeePassX-0.3.4.dmg for my mac today. I tried to verify the SHA1 hash as follows:

    /usr/bin/openssl sha1 KeePassX-0.3.4.dmg
    SHA1(KeePassX-0.3.4.dmg)= 0891ba7902876af59059a9d5b717d84f6e19addd

    As you can see, the returned hashsum is completely different to the one listed above. Is the one listed above definitely correct?

    Yes, it is correct.
    Try to redownload the file and verify the hash again.
