Floating point exception (SOLVED)

Floating point exception (SOLVED)

Postby kel_p » 21 Mar 2007, 22:19

Running Debian Etch, suddenly Keepass starts giving me this message "Floating point exception"
It doesn't start at all.
I reinstalled it, I uninstalled/installed it, I reinstalled required packages, but still this message..

Any clue?

If you used KeePassX before you should try to delete the configuration file (~/.keepass/config) - maybe it's broken.

What package are you using?

I'm using keepass-0.2.2-2
It worked fine at first, surely I upgraded packages in the meantime but I' m not sure what packages could be the problem.
I deleted the conf-file but issue remains..

So you are using a package from the Debian repositories - right?
Please compile the original source tarball from our download site and try to start the self-compiled binary. You don't need to mess up your system by installing it, just start it out of the compilation directory. If it works you should contact the package maintainer, because then their is something wrong with the package.

Well, I found out it has nothing to do with keepass or with the deb.
I was missing the DisplaySize option in xorg.conf, QT-apps apparently need this info. I didn't know this.
I just bought a new screen and forgot to include this option in xorg.conf.
Except for keepass I hardly ever use QT-apps ;-)
Thanks for thinking with me..
