Gnome User request - Modal Dialog management

Gnome User request - Modal Dialog management

Hi Tarek,

Thanks a bunch for this great app and your new release addresses most of the user's needs.

I know you are working on the auto-fill features, that will be awesome.

Now I am a Gnome user and I notice a problem with the modal dialog management. I notice the problem with the main "open existing database" password prompt, and in the "Edit Entry" dialogs/forms/windows.

1) The problem is that in gnome, these "windows" don't show up in the Task Bar, nor in the "Task List" (ALT-TAB). So if for any reason you switch to another application, then you can't switch back to to this modal dialog, the only way is to minimize all open windows in the desktop, until you find the modal dialog behind them. This is a bit awkward for me, as I use "Edit Entry" a lot.

2) Another small request is, could you implement a configuration option such that the searches and quick searches omit the "Backup" folder (you know, the Keepass/Win has this backup functionality, which is handy but clutters Keepass/X searches).

3) Last but not least, there is a small typo in Extras > Settings > Other; the string "Remember last opend file" should be "Remember last opened file" (missing "e" in opened)

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the hints. I'll try to fix these issues until the next release.

I was able to reproduce the behavior under gnome and now I figured out the reason for it. It's not a bug in KeePassX but one in Qt. I updated my qt installation to 4.1.3 and it works fine now.

from the qt 4.1.3 changelog:
- A parent modal dialog of a child modal dialog can no longer be brought on top of the child.
