Import KeePass DB

Import KeePass DB

Postby bilbo_b » 23 Jul 2008, 08:20

Hello,

thx for the last released KeePassX 0.3.2. Its great and works perfectly. However, i have a suggestion for the next version. In Windows Keepass 1.11 it is possible to import a KeePass *.kdb file in to to the current opened DB. here i can choose to replace the available ID or generate new ones. This feature is very useful, when i will merge two ore more kdb files. Is it possible to implement this feature ?

I've been looking for this feature as well
I maintain passwords on 2 different linux machines (one of these out of town on my son's machine when I'm there) and a windows partition. Try as I might, I am not always able to keep them sychronized. It would be very useful to be able to merge database files so as not to lose something that has been added or updated in one but not the other.
Love this program! The only feature I would really hope to see added is a merge capability.

Edit: Overlooked this topic before I posted http://www.keepassx.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1732
Sounds like the request is already seriously under consideration. Great! I'm looking forward to it.
