KeePassX file won't open - Says "Wrong Signature"

I added a whole bunch of passwords to my database file under OSX 10.5. When trying to open the file on Windows XP I get the messgage: "The following error occured whilt opening the database: Wrong Signature"

Has anyone else had this happen? Is there a fix or is this not truly a cross platform product.

same problem here but the other way around (creaded my database in windows, can't open it on mac)

tried to open the database "database.kdbx" with "database.key" and I get the error message:

"the following error occured while opening the database: Wrong signature"

I've tried with v. 0.3.2 and 0.3.4

would be fantastic if I could get this to work.

I was having the exact same problem as patricktaschler (PC to Mac). I ended up fixing it by saving as KeePass KBD (1.x) on the PC, copying that db to my Mac, then File>Open Database with KeePassX on my Mac. Hope it works for others.

I went to Keepass I had the same problem as the two directly above.

Solution for me was not to save the file differently, but to export it to the .kdb file extension. (File>Export...)

I am having the same issues.
I tried exporting the file and the open the database tip as mentioned above.
Anyone else has suggestions?
