crash on opening or search

Hi,
I'm currently trying KeePassX (on Ubuntu 9.04). It's seem interesting but I get a very annoying problem.
My database crash every time I open it. I succeed to open it with a lot of manipulation. First, say "cancel" when I click on myfile.kdb. Reopen it from software. And eventuelly after one or two try, I got it.
Also, I tried to search in search box, programm crash. Searching (ctrl+f) in database result in a crash but searching within group (found in Entries menu) is working fine.
So my question is : how I could find which entry is responsible for those crashes? I try an empty database with 2-3 fake entries, and I didn't get this problem. So I suppose it's a database corruption of my file. And just do a "save as" didn't work. So, now, what I should do?

Same problem here.

Mac OSX, 10.5.7

After trying a search, the application crashes. I have reinstalled Keepassx, also deleted the library files, but that doesn't help.

I started this morning after reorganizing the database. Could it be that many subgroups creates the problem? I think I have 3 levels of (sub) groups.

Hi!

Recently KeePassX v0.4.1 started to crash when opening a DB file on Linux. The same DB file can be opened with same KPX version on Windows.

I wonder why the same version crashes on one system but works on the other.

Happening to me too.

After working flawless for weeks, today keepassX started crashing randomly on opens
Also once I get it to open it will crash 100% of the time if I perform a search.

Only thing that has changed from days before are regular system updates from ubuntu

Running on Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit

It seems to be a corrupted entry in the database.

I Solved the issue by:

1) exporting the database to a KeepassX XML file
2) Create a blank new database
3) Import the file from step 1 into the new database.

Done.
